CALENDAR

Meetup locations and times for our day rides are emailed to our list several days before the ride. If you want the details join the list by using the form back on the home page.

4/25/2010  Snowline Ride
How far can we go? Maybe to the other side - you never know until we get there. This will be a different location than last year's Snowline ride. Details will be emailed to the list the week before the ride date. What - you're not on the list? Go to the home page and sign up now - it's free.

5/30/2010  Mt Baker/Snoqualmie Explorer
In the Mt Baker/Snoqualmie Forest there are lots of roads to explore, many with some great views. And views are what we're all about. Ride start location will be emailed to the list the week before the ride.

6/27/2010  Oly Pen Ride
There's only one way to get a good view of Mt Olympus, but getting to that viewpoint is the fun part. For this ride you'll need to enter the National Park, a $5 fee or free with a pass. Start location will be emailed to the list the week before the ride.

7/28/2010  Dualsport Northwest Rally
Heading into it's 6th year, this is the only 5 day dual sport rally in the Northwest. It's not an ADV Rider drunk fest though - this is a real rally with real guest speakers, on road clinics, great rides complete with maps and GPS files, catered meals on Saturday, door prizes, a silent auction, seminars and much more. Registration is open so get signed up today. http://www.soundrider.com/dsport/rally

8/23/2010  Sasquatch 5 Day Dual Sport
A five day tour that runs 8/23-27 2010. The 54 riders who rode this tour last year will probably tell you it was the highlight of their riding season in 2009. This year we're going through the Oregon Cascacdes and Coastal ranges for five fun days of great scenery, choice adventure riding, tasty food stops and great times. The tour is limited to 70 people. Registration opens in May. Don't miss out. http://www.soundrider.com/DSport/rides/sasquatch_dualsport.htm

9/25/2010  Lolo Pass Ride
Idaho's Lolo Pass. You probabaly know a bit about the pavement route on US 12, even if you've never ridden it. But there's also a gravel route just along the northside that's filled with stunning views and a number of surface variations. After all - it's an old wagon trail you know, so don't expect the super silky surface we often enjoy on our local rides, there will be some challenging sections. This is a multi day trip. One to get there, one to ride it and one to get back. The route Saturday will follow US 12 East to the top of the pass and return back on the gravel route. Our docking point is Saturday morning 8:00 am on 9/25 at the Lewis & Clark Resort on US 12. GPS uploads will be available at that time. Tent spaces are available for $10 each. There are also rooms with king and queen beds. Visit lewisclarkresort.com to book your reservation.Food is available at the resort and there are several places to eat as you ride up to the pass. You choose your route too and from the resort. We highly recommend you fit the pavement of the Starbuck Highway in between Washtucna and Pomeroy. See you then!

Please Note:

1) If you plan to ride with us, remember you must have a motorcycle endorsement to operate a two-wheeled vehicle over 49cc's in the state of Washington.  If you do not have this, visit your local Department of Licensing and we'll look forward to seeing you on an upcoming ride following such.  For information about the Motorcycle Safety Program click here.

2) Please wear protective motorcycle gear such as a leather or textile motorcycle jacket and pants with crash padding, over the ankle motorcycle boots, motorcycle gloves and a full face helmet. Anything less (Levis, Carharts, camping pants etc...) increases your risk of injury during a crash.  Although they are rare, always dress for the crash.

3) Arrive for the ride with a full tank of fuel.

4) A forecast of steady rain cancels the ride.

About our maps:

MapSource GPS files are provided for all one day rides at no charge. Routes will be downloaded to your Garmin unit when you arrive. They are not available in advance or after the ride is over. In other words come for the ride to get the day's route.

If you've enjoyed our rides in the past and want a lot of the maps we use, pick up a copy of Dual Sport Rides through Western Washington. A GPS companion CD is available as well.
