2006 Seattle Motorcycle Show Highlights
(updated)
A show that's sure to please
The 2006/2007 Cycle World International Motorcycle Show is bound
to be an eye pleaser when it rolls into town this December 1-3.

How about this one Bub? The Bub Streamliner 350 mph world record holder
will be on display this year at the show.
Whether you’re in the market for a new bike, like to
watch stunts, enjoy seeing custom bikes, like to look at legendary
machines or you’re just thinking about getting into motorcycles, the
show will be an upbeat experience packed full of surprises when you
arrive.
With each passing year the show’s promoter, Advanstar, has
managed to build a more unique event distancing itself from the
boredom that is mounting on the auto show side of things (different
promoter) here in Seattle.
How about a look at the Bub Streamliner which now holds the
world’s record for fastest bike on the planet clocking in at 350 mph
on the Bonneville Salt Flats this last summer and breaking a 9-year-old record.
Unique
one-of-a-kind motorcycles will be abundant at this year's show once
again. For the fifth straight year Sound RIDER! is pleased to
present the Northwest Motorcycle Display. Located on the
second/mezzanine level of the center we will have 25 oddities
ranging from cruisers and sportbikes to dualsports, sidecars and
more.
Need to see some good stunting? We’re not talking about the
wheelie, stoppie sportbike squids out on SR520, we’re talking well-thought-out and executed stunts that will send chills down your
spine. The BOSS team returns again with their unique show. If your
mom worries about you riding a motorcycle, don’t bring her to this!
Just a few of the rare Northwest bikes you'll see in this
year's Sound RIDER! Northwest Motorcycle Display high atop the
mezzanine floor.
Advanstar teamed up with AMA this year to bring in an excellent
exhibit documenting the history of Motocross. Legends of the sport
such as Decoster, Hannah, Bailey and McGrath will be depicted in the
display along with championship-winning bikes.
How about a little vintage iron? The Vintage Motorcycle
Enthusiasts display celebrates old bikes in an always stunning array
of bikes from the past, many restored to their fully original
condition.
Just exactly what do the world’s largest and smallest motorcycles
look like? You won’t really know till you get here, but get this -
the smallest has a .62 inch front wheel diameter, while the largest
is powered by a 300 horsepower Jaguar V12 motor.
Of course there are all the new bikes and the chance to compare
and contrast them all in one place, something you otherwise can’t do
at any dealership.
And then there are the endless rows of vendor booths, club booths
and organizations that make up the fabric of our industry.
