PDX Motorcycle Film Festival

Started in 2014, the PDX Motorcycle Film Festival is a two-day event held in late January as a fundraiser for the Oregon Motorcycle Road Racing Association.

Prior to each year’s event, films are submitted and the top contenders make it to the screen at the Hollywood Theater located in the northeast quadrant of Portland, Oregon.

Prior films have included ‘Why we ride,’ Peter Starr’s remastered ‘Take it to the limit’, ‘White Knuckle’ which chronicles The Cannonball Run and ‘Out of nothing’ a feature length documentary covering the teams from the Pacific Northwest who participate annually in the Bonneville Salt Flats competition.

In addition to the feature length picks, a number of shorts are shown, interspersed throughout the evening's schedule

As stated earlier, the event is a fundraiser for OMRRA. In 2016 the funds will be used to purchase and extend the use of Air Fence protective barriers at the Portland International Raceway.

Portland. A great town to visit if you don’t live there. The city has some awesome restaurants, lots of light rail, plenty of accommodations and lots of other stuff you can do while you’re there. Seattleites can use the Volt bus to get to and from PDX.

Winter. A great time to get off the bike and watch some movies. Wouldn’t you agree?
