DAYTONA 200 PARTY 2005
The place to be when the race begins
Sound
RIDER! had been looking to either create its own Daytona party this year, or
tap into one. We looked at what parties were going on in past years, and looked
at the mish mash of trying to get a nice venue open at 9 a.m. in time for the
race start if we created our own event.
Fueled Productions puts on one of the best Daytona parties in the Northwest
and will once again do so at Champs Karting in Seattle. We met with Fueled in
January and agreed to work together with them to help make a good thing even
better, rather than re-invent the wheel ourselves.
Put on by motorcyclists for motorcyclists, the Fueled Productions Daytona 200
party will feature plenty for a race fan to do.
Champs doors will open at 9 a.m. and the venue will feature comfortable all-day race day coverage on a one hundred-inch projector screen setup in theater
style, with another fifteen smaller screens to choose from all over the
facility. The Daytona 200 on a one hundred inch screen? That’s worth the price
of admission itself!
There will be a load of door prizes being given away on a regular schedule
that will be provided by local dealers, businesses and Sound RIDER!
Watching the Daytona 200 on a big screen not enough? How about some onsite
racing then? The boys from Northwest Mini Moto will be putting on a special
pocket bike racing exhibition featuring some of the raddest pocket bikes around.
These are not the one’s you’ve seen at Schuck’s auto supply, but the real thing
- pure Italian mini bliss.
Alex Raphael of Max RPM will be on hand with his mobile dyno unit and the
shootout will be happening outside all day with special event pricing per run.
The $10 admission fee will get you access to the food buffet, bottomless
sodas and a chance at the plethora of door prizes. Champs will also be offering
drink specials and ½ price carting to all participants. A portion of the
proceeds will benefit Road Racing Worlds "Air-Fence-Fund."
The Sound RIDER! booth will be setup outdoors where we will be offering all
participants a chance to win a free registration to Sportbike Northwest 2005 and
we’ll be looping a short video presentation of the event on our gigantic 17-inch
wide screen media grinder. We’ll be offering a special rate to anyone who signs
up for Sportbike Northwest 2005 that day. We’ll also have specials on items that
sport riders need like versatile eyewear from Global Vision, road atlases,
secure locking devices and riding skills books.
If you’re a race fan we encourage you to come enjoy the action with us at
Champs on Saturday March 12, 2005. See you then!
