Welcome to the Sound RIDER! virtual Motorcycle
Marketplace. We understand that our readers want to know about
specials and events that are currently underway at both Northwest shops as well
as national motorsport entities in general and the Marketplace dials
right in on that. Check out what's going on this month!

AHRMA Racing!
On May 1-2 the Portland AHRMA Classic motorcycle event will occur
at Portland International Raceway. The centerpiece of this two wheel
festival will be the first ever AHRMA national road race hosted in
the Pacific Northwest, with bikes ranging from pre-1950 hand-shift
to 1960s GP machines to modern singles and twins. A highlight will
certainly be the Vicious Cycle Formula 160 race, including a
dead-motor LeMans start of 50 bikes.
Saturday will also include a full card of vintage and evolution
motocross, a motorcycle swap meet and a scooter race. Sunday brings
a judged bike show, club ride-ins, and trials and stunt riding
demonstrations. Both days will host a variety of Northwest
motorcycle and scooter vendors.
Ten dollar admission provides full track and pits access. The
Portland AHRMA Classic is a fundraiser for two-wheel oriented
charities and advocacy groups. Find more information at

AVON Storm 2 Ultra tires - the longer lasting sport touring tire
For riders wanting grip, mileage and wet weather capability, the
new Storm 2 Ultra tires are just the ticket. In fact, these tires
are so good in the rain riders tout they feel like they are riding
on dry pavement. No longer will they have to sacrifice grip for
mileage. The Tri compound design along with Avon’s patented Advanced
Variable Belt Density construction with differing steel tensions and
densities makes this possible.
A medium compound center tread and softer compound shoulders
along with a base compound to bind the two compounds giving riders
the grip they need when and where they want it. And the A-VBD with
its densely wrapped belt in the center section and looser wrapped
belt on the shoulders gives the reinforcement needed for better
mileage and high-speed stability.

Shed
30 lbs From Your Bike – Before You’ve Even Started Packing
A typical rack and hard luggage system weighs more than 30 pounds
before you even pack a pair of socks. Remove the extra weight from
your bike, and instantly feel the difference in your motorcycle
performance — better handling, better speed, improved fuel economy
and improved looks. Our soft luggage solutions require no racks,
mounts, braces or sub-frame modifications. The saddlebags go on/off
the bike in seconds, you can use the same bag for multiple bikes.
When you don’t need to carry gear, remove the bags and keep your
bike looking and handling as it was designed. Discover the joys of
the “go light, go fast” approach — whether you ride a sport, sport
touring, adventure touring, dualsport or dirt bike. “Expand your
horizons,” is what Cycle World wrote. “Highly recommended,” was the
conclusion from Motorcycle Consumer News. Based in Bend, Oregon and
designed and sewn in the USA by people who love to ride. Visit our

At Sound RIDER! we applaud innovation. One of the most innovative
items we've seen come along in a while is the Wheel Jockey!
Finally, a simple product offers a solution to the cumbersome
task of rotating motorcycle wheels for cleaning and drive chain
maintenance. And, what’s more, it’s small enough to be easily stowed
under the seat or in any motorcycle luggage!
In addition to cleaning and chain servicing, you can use it to
rotate a front or rear wheel to locate a puncture on a tube or
tubeless tire - a godsend of a device when riding alone. Once you've
located the puncture, simply mark it's location and remove your bike
from the wheel jockey to safely complete the repair.
A must have device for any serious rider who owns a motorcycle
without a center stand.
Available in the Sound RIDER! Online Store
