Seminar Highlights
Introduction to the Columbia River Gorge
w/Tom Mehren - Are you new to riding in the Columbia River
Gorge? For this slideshow clinic, you'll be introduced to the Gorge,
its history, where it's going, and where the great roads and places
are.
Surviving the Backroads with David Hough - Realizing what's going to
happen before it does is a key to a better riding experience. And
there's no better way to learn it than from the master of riding
skills himself.
Body Mechanics Clinics w/Ramey "Coach"
Stroud - Beyond the fact that motorcycles have 2 or three
wheels, every type of bike requires different body mechanics. Riding
a sportbike requires decidedly different body positioning and
movement than riding a dualsport, sport tourer, or maxi scooter.
Coach Stroud will teach a series of four clinics, each specific to a
particular type of bike represented here at the rally. Get in on the
one's that are right for you.
Dual Sport Body Mechanics w/Bret Tkacs - Following Coach Ramey's seminar
on body mechanics Bret Tkacs and members of Puget Sound Safety will
lead interested riders on a two hour dualsport ride to put to use
what you learned in class.

Rolling Clinic Highlights
Dual Sport Body Mechanics w/Bret Tkacs - Coach Ramey teaches the
classroom clinic at 2 p.m. on Thursday. Following that Bret Tkacs
and members of Puget Sound Safety will take you out for the road
version. Practice what you learn in class and you may learn a few
new things along the way too.
The
Secret Ride presented by Happy Trails - Dual Sport Northwest and
Tim Bernard of Happy Trails has teamed up again this for a special
ride. Last year it was the Three Buck Ride and riders were
challenged at different stops on how there bike was equipped.
This year Tim has literally cooked up a ride of a different sort. You need an
Adventure bike, you need basic trail skills, you need to be
self-sufficient and most of all you need an appetite. This will be a
ride with a special lunch provided and a special tour at a location
that is otherwise off-limits. It will be run on Thursday during the
rally.
There will be a $25.00 fee for this ride. ALL the money goes to Sound RIDER's
special charity for the kids in the Gorge - The Gorge Kids Explorer
Fund. Happy Trails is covering the cost of the lunch at the
destination.
If you are already signed up for the rally,

Northwest participants will be allowed on this ride and wrist bands
will be checked before and during the ride.

horses, you can now ride through this desolate area of forest.

our popular pavement ride, you'll wrap your way around the Gifford
Pinchot national forest in scenic style.

Loops Road on Saturday. Get there by way of the Roads less travelled.
While the highway provides the fast track, our secret route provides
a scenic mix of pavement and gravel.
Table Mountain Explorer - A short ride located near the Fairground makes
it a perfect choice for getting used to the local terrain.
Dualsport
Fun Run - Our dualsport Fun runs are some of the best. We
get you moving across the pavement and gravel and take you to some
stunning viewpoints along the way. This year's route crisscrosses between
