Foreign Scam Artist?

RIDER! is aware that certain individuals overseas are attempting to scam our
sellers with various techniques.
Sellers - beware of offers by distant strangers to send
you a high value (but counterfeit) cashier's check, and then have you wire the
balance to them.
These are often emailed to Sellers as offers for sale
items.
Banks will cash these counterfeit checks, but then hold
you responsible for the funds when the check fails to clear!

Scammers - If you are a non-US resident and are attempting to scam
any of our sellers, you are wasting your time and theirs.
Our sellers are advised not to participate in any
transactions that involve off-shore individuals who do not operate credibly.
Deals such as "I will send a check for twice what you are asking, then send me
the cash for the difference" and so forth are deals our sellers are
encouraged not to respond to. |
