2011 RALLY NEWS
FEATURED
PRESENTER: CLEMENT SALVADORI
Popular motojournalist Clement Salvadori has been sharing his
stories from the road with the readers of Rider magazine since 1988.
He bought his first motorcycle as a teenager and has been riding
ever since - in more than 70 countries on six continents. A
well-known name in motorcycle journalism, he has written over 1,000
articles for several dozen motorcycle magazines. His most recent
book is 101 Road Tales.
During the rally, Salvadori will participate in our writers meet and
great and panel discussion along with several other notable moto
journalists. He will also present an evening program on riding the
Continental Divide route, which he popularized in 2002 with a
feature in Rider.
NEW RIDES
The beauty of the Columbia River Gorge is enhanced by the fact that it boasts
hundreds of miles of twisties. Because of this, our suggested rides change from
year to year. It's not possible to ride all the great roads here in a single
rally, so we mix it up year-to-year. All attendees get free ride maps complete
with turn-by-turn directions and riding skills tips. Optional MapSource GPS
files are available for download once you arrive.
GPS
FILE DOWNLOADS
Once you arrive at the rally, you can download all the recommended
rides at our registration table. Our GPS files are in MapSource
format, but if you need them for other than a Garmin unit, we can
provide you a GPX file to do your own conversion.
STUNNING SCENERY

While many rallies boast stunning scenery, this one truly provides
it mile after mile. The Columbia River Gorge is a designated
National Scenic Area (a step away from a national park), one of the
few in the United States. Take a look at our online gallery and
you'll see why this is truly one of the most beautiful places for
riding motorcycles in North America.
NORTHWEST MOTORCYCLE HISTORY PRESENTATION
Enjoy this year's presentation about the past, the present and the
future on Northwest Motorcycling put on in partnership with the
Pacific Northwest Museum of Motorcycling.
